Joining the Programmes team and reporting to Programme Director, the Project Scheduler will support our business, implementing and overseeing project schedules. You will be required to collaborate with Project and Programme Managers to set tasks and monitoring the execution of project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project managers, to define tasks, timelines and resource requirements, supporting activity estimations where required.
- Create detailed Microsoft Project Schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS) to define project tasks and dependencies.
- Creating plans to support bid stages and supporting and project re-baselining during delivery phase.
- Establish and maintain project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Regularly track project progress against the project plan and budget, updating schedules as required.
- Working with varying stakeholders to manage resource requirements within the business.
- Identify Risks, Opportunities, Assumptions and Dependencies within schedules and support the development of mitigation strategies and risk forecasting.
- Ensure schedules align and meet the project scope and objectives.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Project Planning and Scheduling.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including budgeting and control.
- Experience in resource management.
- Expert level in Microsoft Project.
- At least 2-3 years of project scheduling experience working across multiple, complex projects concurrently.
- A technical background, ideally working in an engineering design and development environment.
- Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

Security Clearance Requirements:
Due to the nature of our business, our staff need to be able to obtain UK Security Clearance as a mandated requirement. Therefore, if successful, you will need to provide proof of identity, employment history and right to work in the UK, along with proof of UK residency for at least five years.
