Joining the Production Control & Planning (PCP) Team and reporting to the PCP Manager, the role of Production Controller will be responsible for the coordination and control of production jobs within Chess. The controller will utilise the ERP system to ensure adherence of Job Management processes, ensuring all material and demand requirements tally with customer delivery expectations. The controller will be assigned to an IPT and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from order entry through to Production completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough Job Management processes on the ERP system.
- Organising kitting for assemblies ensuring kits are in a suitable state for manufacture.
- Conducting thorough material availability analysis, in conjunction with Supply Chain.
- Fulfilling Sales Orders and organising post-production activity alongside ITC and Stores.
- Liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing procedures and problems.
- Involved with continuous improvement programmes to ensure efficiency of team procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Experienced in the use of ERP/MRP systems.
- Desirable: Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. A background in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
