Wild Network Trainee

Location: Bickley Hall Farm, Malpas, SY14 8EF | Closing date: 19 July 2026 | Salary: £24,479 | Contract type: Fixed term (12 month) | Working hours: Full time

Cheshire Wildlife Trust, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is offering a trainee role designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and real‑world experience needed to engage communities, support events and activities, and inspire more people to help nature thrive.

As a Wild Network Trainee you will support the planning and delivery of training sessions, workshops, talks and events across the county, helping to inspire people to connect with and care for the natural world while supporting the growth of the Wild Network.

You will also develop organisational, communication and professional skills needed for a career in the environmental or charity sector.

  • Plan and deliver training sessions, workshops, talks and events across Cheshire.
  • Support community engagement and build relationships with local groups.
  • Assist with the mobilisation of volunteers and support project activities.
  • Develop and maintain communication materials and social media for events.

You may be required to carry out a DBS check for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Sponsorship is not available.

This is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed contract. We work in a hybrid environment, with most staff working at least part of the week from home and/or on site.
