About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Assistant to join our team and support our social media marketing efforts. As a Social Media Assistant, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing engaging social media campaigns, driving brand awareness and fostering audience engagement. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engage our target audience.
- Create compelling and visually appealing content with a focus on video for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Monitor and manage social media accounts, responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for social media growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate social media campaigns with other marketing activities, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positioning.
- Analyse social media performance using analytics tools to track key metrics, identify trends and provide actionable insights for optimising future campaigns.
- Stay informed about the latest social media platform updates, algorithm changes and best practices and apply this knowledge to improve our social media presence.
- Monitor competitor social media activities and industry benchmarks to identify areas for improvement and stay ahead of market trends.
- Support the development and implementation of social media advertising campaigns, including ad creation, targeting and optimisation.
- Assist in organising and executing social media competitions, giveaways and other promotional activities to drive engagement and expand our online community.
- Organise and implement campaigns, communications and challenges through our Brio app for all members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers and other members of the digital marketing team, to ensure high-quality and engaging social media content.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field or similar qualification.
- Demonstrable experience managing social media platforms and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours to suit business needs and a clean driving license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital advertising strategies.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and photo/video editing software.
- Professional certifications in social media or digital marketing.
- Experience in content creation, copywriting or graphic design.
