We have statutory responsibility for safeguarding and managing all professional safeguarding across adult social care. Our team focuses on the individual, their outcomes, and how to achieve them, applying professional curiosity and objective evaluation.

You will have the opportunity to:

You will have:

  • CQSW/CSS/Diploma/Degree in Social Work or equivalent (Essential)
  • Social Work England Registration (Essential)
  • Enhanced DBS and Children’s and Adults Barred List checks (Essential)
  • Knowledge of social work policies and recent service developments
  • Effective communication skills with clients and families
  • Positive coping strategies and resilience
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary working and safeguarding legislation
  • Energetic, sensitive, and motivated personality

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing safeguarding concerns and enquiries within policies and timescales
  • Building effective relationships with health professionals, providers, and referral services
  • Communicating effectively with adults at risk and their families, following Making Safeguarding Personal
  • Having a good understanding of enquiries, the Care Act, and safeguarding policies

This is a hybrid role, combining work from council offices and home working where appropriate.
