Key Responsibilities: Understand Project Requirements: Review drawings, specifications, liaise with the design and contracts department, and study material datasheets to gain a comprehensive understanding of materials and equipment needed for each project. Verify Stock Levels & Obtain Supplier Quotations: Determine if required materials are in stock, collate quotations from suppliers, negotiate for the best prices and lead times, build on existing supplier relations, and engage new suppliers as needed. Procurement Administration: Raise purchase orders on Sage in a timely manner to meet project schedules, raise picklists for the Stores Department, process same-day/next-day collection orders from the Site Team, maintain accurate procurement records on the Project Tracker, update delivery status in Sage for accurate accounting and prompt payment, and record credit card payments. Payment Approval: Address invoice queries/product issues as they arise, match invoices to PODs for approval, and chase required supplier refunds or credits. Skills and Experience: Experience in a Procurement/Buying/Purchasing Administrative role. Competence in reading construction drawings. Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Packages, especially Excel. Exceptional organisational skills. Proactive in finding required information. Diligent with data input. Flexible and able to prioritize a changing to-do list. Ability to work well within a team.
