Winnington Park Primary School and Nursery is looking to appoint a hardworking, friendly and enthusiastic playworker to join our dedicated and committed team that runs our before and after school club. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the supervision of pupils, leading games and activities, the preparation of food, cleaning duties and liaison with parents, families and colleagues in school.

The grade 2 post will be for 12.5 hours a week across 5 days during term time only. The working pattern is 3.00pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. It is essential that the candidate is a good team member, enjoys working with children and is able to use their initiative and make decisions in line with the school's policies. The successful candidate will be calm and consistently follow our inclusive procedures, taking into account pupil ages, disability and behaviour.

A level 2 childcare qualification is desirable, as is a knowledge of basic food hygiene, health and safety procedures and first aid. We are committed to safe recruitment and ensuring the safety of our children. Appointments would be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and satisfactory references. We may conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of our safer recruitment processes.
