Wrenbury Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a temporary, full-time role from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 with a view to a permanent role from September 2027.

This is a varied role which involves working with children from across the school, supporting children in class, groups and leading interventions as directed by the SENCO/class teacher.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have previous experience of working with primary aged children and those with special educational needs (preferable).
  • Have a minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant and/or Level 3 EYFS qualification.
  • Be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team.
  • Create a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Be passionate about delivering creative, nature-connected learning.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to act on their own initiative.
  • Be committed to the vision and values of our school.
  • Have a child-centred approach to their work.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels (with children, staff and parents/carers).
  • Have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos.
  • Be able to present as a positive role model.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Be able to work independently but also as part of a team.
