Wrenbury Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a temporary, full-time role from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 with a view to a permanent role from September 2027.
This is a varied role which involves working with children from across the school, supporting children in class, groups and leading interventions as directed by the SENCO/class teacher.
The successful candidate must:
- Have previous experience of working with primary aged children and those with special educational needs (preferable).
- Have a minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant and/or Level 3 EYFS qualification.
- Be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team.
- Create a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued.
- Be passionate about delivering creative, nature-connected learning.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to act on their own initiative.
- Be committed to the vision and values of our school.
- Have a child-centred approach to their work.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels (with children, staff and parents/carers).
- Have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos.
- Be able to present as a positive role model.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Be able to work independently but also as part of a team.
