Excalibur Primary School are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our Pre-School team in supporting the delivery of fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities that encourage children’s intellectual, social, and emotional development, while building their confidence, independence, and self-esteem.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support the planning and evaluation of activities for individual children and groups, supervise children safely both inside and outside the classroom, including on educational visits, and help promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies.

The role includes monitoring children’s progress and development, sharing observations with teaching staff and line managers, and working in partnership with parents and carers to support each child’s well-being and learning journey.

The postholder will also attend to children’s personal, social, and physical needs, prepare and maintain classroom resources and equipment, help create a clean, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment, and display children’s work to celebrate their achievements.

Participation in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities will also be expected.
