Permanent, 32.5 hours per week (8.30 – 3.30 approx), term time only.

Cambridge Road is a successful and inclusive community primary and nursery school in the heart of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The children, staff and Governors of Cambridge Road School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to be part of our team.

Cambridge Road is a mainstream school; however, experience of working with children with additional learning needs would be an advantage. The role will involve supporting children to become independent and co-operative learners, and identify and remove barriers to students’ learning.

The post-holder will need to hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, preferably at Level 3, achieved through a recognised training provider. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and skilled team who work tirelessly to unlock potential for pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues. They will be a confident Teaching Assistant whose character and skills will fit into our motivated team and who also have a commitment to high standards.

The role may also include helping the class teacher in planning and delivering sessions as well as carrying out small group and one-to-one sessions of support outside of class with the aim of raising attainment; ensuring children achieve their potential and supporting social and emotional growth.
