Teaching Assistant Vacancy Required for September 2026, or sooner if able.

Full time: 32.5 hours per week (8.30-3.30pm Monday to Friday). 1-year fixed term contract with a view to extending. Scale: Grade 4.

The Governors of Alvanley and Manley Village School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our small Junior team at our Alvanley site from September 2026, or sooner if possible. Alvanley and Manley Village School is a small village primary school split across two sites, with Infants based at our Manley site, and Juniors at our Alvanley site. We offer a nurturing environment for all of our children, and a dedicated staff team. We expect our children to be kind, respectful and hard-working, and have high aspirations. We place the children at the heart of everything we do, and commitment and flexibility are key to our success.

We are looking for an individual with a nurturing and can-do attitude, who will primarily support a child with an EHCP. The successful candidate should be willing to work flexibly with us, with the possibility of supporting other children at our Junior site, through individual and group support where needed. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate they can encourage children to develop, both academically and personally and overcome barriers to learning in a nurturing and calm environment. We want a creative, self-motivated individual capable of adapting to the specific learning needs of children, alongside support from the class teacher and other staff across school. We want to work with an individual who will provide a challenging and stimulating environment for our children and an ability to use their initiative to improve the provision of pupils they work with. Experience of supporting children with SEND would be beneficial but not essential.
