Greenbank School is a growing school of 133 pupils, aged 11 – 18 years. Pupils present with a range of learning needs, primarily Autism and associated learning and communication needs. The ability to teach English and Mathematics and co-ordinate a Foundation subject, with established Autism strategies will be essential. Delivering English and Mathematics in the morning and the wider Curriculum (Formal and Holistic) to KS3 and KS4 pupils in the afternoon. A secure knowledge of phonics teaching is essential, evidence of which should be detailed in an application.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to support a growing school in the delivery and development of our Dual Curriculum which will involve the following:

  • To plan, implement, deliver and coordinate an appropriate and adaptive curriculum.
  • To support the Numeracy & Literacy faculty coordinators in the ongoing development of the core curriculum.
  • Ensure that all students make the best possible progress in all areas of teaching and learning, curriculum, behavioural, personal, social and emotional development.
  • Deployment of effective and consistent Autism strategies.
  • To monitor and assess pupil progress to improve their quality of learning and personal growth.
  • To undertake the professional duties outlined above by having regard to National Teaching Standards.
  • To be able to offer a second subject within the Foundation subjects of the National Curriculum.
