Role: Midday Assistant
Location: Barnton Community Nursery & Primary School
Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3
Actual Salary Pro-Rata: Β£2,820 (FTE: Β£24,795)
Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2027
Hours: 5 per week, lunchtimes (38 weeks per year, term time)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
The Headteacher and governors of Grange Community Nursery & Primary School would like to appoint a Midday Assistant to join our committed and enthusiastic team. This position is to commence 1st September 2026.
As always, we are looking for a friendly, caring person with plenty of energy who can join our hardworking team in helping to make lunchtimes safe, fun and happy for our children.

The successful candidate will:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils during lunchtime;
- Arrange and support age β appropriate activities during lunchtime, including indoor activities when the weather prevents children playing outside;
- Be responsible and motivated.
