Salary: Grade 2, Actual Salary of £3523 FTE £24796 Hourly rate £12.85

Location: St Chad's C of E Primary School

Contract: Temporary until 31st August 2027

Working Pattern: Term Time only

Hours: 6.25 hours per week – 11.45am – 1pm Monday - Friday

Following the retirement of a long-standing member of our team, the governors and staff are seeking to appoint a proactive, highly motivated, hardworking Midday Assistant to become a key part of our vibrant school community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

This position involves:

  • Supporting our children with their individual needs during their lunchtime break, in the dinner hall.
  • Engaging the children in games on the playground.
  • Ensuring the safety of the children during the lunchtime period, considering the children’s ages and behaviour.
  • Helping the children to interact with each other in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Setting up the dinner hall, including putting tables up and moving chairs.
  • Cleaning the dinner hall and tables at the end of the dinner session and moving the tables and chairs back into the storage cupboard.
  • Completing any relevant training for the role.
