The governors and Head Teacher are looking to appoint a highly motivated cleaner who takes pride in our school environment, to join our school team. The main responsibilities of the role would be to clean specific areas and work as part of the cleaning team. The job will entail cleaning of classrooms, offices, toilets, staff rooms and common areas.

Hours are after the children have gone home 15:15 to 17:15 each day. Contract is for 42 weeks per year (38 school weeks, 1 week inset days & 3 weeks holiday cleans). A professional and discreet approach when dealing with pupils, staff, governors, and visitors to the school is required.

Whilst previous experience of working in a school setting and/or cleaning could be an advantage, it is not a prerequisite. Elton Primary School & Nursery is committed to safeguarding children and young people; therefore, all post holders are subject to an appropriate vetting procedure. Appointment is subject to the completion of pre-employment checks which will include References (which will be taken up prior to interview), Health questionnaire, Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS.
