Reference: The Headteacher and Governors of this thriving village school invite applications to join our caring, committed team of professionals as a Catering Supervisor to prepare and cook lunches for our children and clean away afterwards.
The closing date for applications is 9am on 1st September with the start date the Thursday 10th September. The position is permanent.
You will be an enthusiastic individual, with the ability to work under your own initiative and have previous experience working in a kitchen environment. Candidates must be friendly, professional and child-centred, putting the needs and safety of the children at the centre of their role. They must have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a similar position is preferred.
A current Food Hygiene Level 2 certification as a minimum would be advantageous, but training will be given.
Job Description
· To provide a robust, efficient and hygienic food service for Little Leigh Primary School
· To plan nutritious menus
· To keep all food products and ingredients stored correctly following Food Hygiene guidelines and regulations
· To ensure that all hot food is at the appropriate temperature before serving
· To serve hot food to pupils
· To clean all areas of the kitchen and canteen after lunch service
· To prepare packed lunches for off site visits
· To always maintain a hygienic environment
· To always follow all Safeguarding policies and procedures
The post is to work Monday – Friday, term time only.
