The Governors and Head Teacher are looking to appoint a highly motivated and organised admin assistant to join our school team. The main responsibilities of the role would be to assist in the provision of clerical support for the school, including answering the telephone, dealing with face-to-face enquiries, attendance and admissions.
Recent office experience is a pre-requisite and previous school office experience would be advantageous. The role requires the ability to work as part of a team and to strict deadlines. Excellent inter-personal skills, enthusiasm and high levels of accuracy are integral to the role and the ability to multi-task is essential.
A professional and discreet approach when dealing with pupils, staff, governors, and visitors to the school is required. The successful applicant will need to be able to maintain a friendly, helpful, confidential and professional attitude when dealing with queries.
Whilst previous experience of working in a school setting could be an advantage, this is not essential, as training will be given. In return, we offer a friendly committed team of staff to support you and the opportunity to access relevant training to help develop you.
The role will be for 39 weeks (38 weeks term time and 1 week of inset days). Elton Primary School & Nursery is committed to safeguarding children and young people; therefore, all post holders are subject to an appropriate vetting procedure. Appointment is subject to the completion of pre-employment checks which will include References (which will be taken up prior to interview), Health, Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS.
