A prestigious private emirate-owned falcon breeding farm in Stirling Scotland is seeking a reliable and dedicated long-term Animal / Falcon Assistant to support the daily operation of a high-standard breeding facility. This is a hands-on role focused on food preparation, cleaning, and general animal care, working under the direction of the Senior Falcon Breeder / Breeding Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of food for falcons in accordance with set dietary guidelines
- Cleaning and maintenance of aviaries, breeding chambers, incubation areas, and food preparation rooms
- Daily hygiene routines to maintain the highest welfare and biosecurity standards
- Assisting with feeding, handling, and basic observation of falcons
- Supporting the breeding team during busy periods (breeding season, rearing, etc.)
- Stock rotation and cleanliness of food storage areas
- Disposal of waste in line with estate and welfare protocols
- General estate and facility maintenance as required
Candidate Requirements
- Genuine interest in animal care and welfare
- Previous experience working with animals, birds, or livestock preferred (falconry experience an advantage but not essential)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to carry out routine and physical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor and manual work
- Must hold a current and valid UK working visa at the time of application
