Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the building cleaning team in the facilities management team. The positions are for between 16 and 20 hours per week over a Monday to Friday working pattern, working between 6am and 1pm.
Responsibilities
- Undertake cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using, where appropriate, powered equipment.
- Follow a daily/weekly schedule and clean at multiple buildings through the day. The role is diverse with no one day the same and there may be a need to change the schedule at times.
- To drive the role, following health and safety requirements, including lifting and carrying buckets of water, bags of rubbish, vacuums and chairs, standing and bending as required.
Essential and desirable criteria
- Evidence of previous cleaning experience
- Full driving licence and own car
- Ability to read and write and carry out basic calculations to read instructions and write messages
- Use of initiative and ability to adapt to daily changes when needed
- Good timekeeper
- Ability to work in a team and encourage team spirit and work alone when needed
- Ability to comply with health and safety requirements
