Experienced Social Workers should be able to undertake person centred and strengths-based assessments either within the individual’s own home, hospital or Care Home, with the aim of improving client outcomes for the residents of Cheshire East. Additionally, this post will provide a wide range of learning and training opportunities and includes integrated working across the Health and Social Care sector. This post is an excellent opportunity to progress your career and is suitable for any experienced Social Worker. We are recruiting for 2 x full time posts, 37 hrs and 1 x part time 30 hrs for Short Term Services East based in Macclesfield Town Hall/Hospital/or Leighton Hospital.

About the Role:
- Experience of working as a Progressed Social Worker in a Social Work setting
- Experience of working with a variety of customer groups
- Experience of working closely with Health professionals
- Experience of supervising/mentoring trainee staff
- Understanding of human development, crisis intervention
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislations e.g. NHS and Community Care Act

- Self-motivating, with ability to organise and prioritise workload

- Good team worker and willingness to support less experienced colleagues
- Good IT skills, including use of database system to log caseload information
- Ability to keep accurate case records
