The predicted salary is between 21500 - 24000 £ per year.

To facilitate the engagement and involvement of a wide range of partners in the work of the service, promoting work, ensuring information is up-to-date and effectively communicated. To provide administration and support services for a wide range of initiatives and statutory responsibilities managed by the services and to ensure the efficient and effective use of Council funding to community and voluntary organisations via grants programmes.

The post holder will provide day-to-day administration for the Council's Communities team, including Community Grants, Cohesion, Community Development, Connectors and Volunteering schemes to ensure the efficient and effective use of funding and the adherence to relevant policies and procedures through a robust monitoring process.

Providing support around communications will be a key part of this role, and developing ways that we can reach out to communities to empower people to apply for funding, volunteer, develop local initiatives and work together will be essential to support our communities to become more connected.

The successful applicant will be expected to have a passion for working with communities and partner agencies and be able to demonstrate good administrative skills as well as being enthusiastic, reliable, and a good communicator who works on their own initiative and as part of a team. This post is ideally suited to an experienced administrator who can demonstrate good organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The successful applicant should have excellent IT skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
