Overview
You will be working in the Fleet Workshop, whilst supported and guided to undertake a range of tasks on Cheshire Easts fleet, ranging from small plant machinery to HGV vehicles.
Working week
Monday β Friday / 6.00am β 2.00pm / 1pm β 9pm
37 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Work towards carrying out scheduled servicing inspection and preparation for testing as required for all fleet vehicles (HGV to small vehicles)
- Work towards undertaking regular safety inspections of HGV\βs in accordance with the statutory requirements to maintain Goods Vehicle Operators Licence and repair defects as necessary
- Inspecting vehicles, plant and specialist equipment to diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) and repair as necessary
- Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection, service and repair of all fleet items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirement.
- Liaising with colleagues, vehicle operatives and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required
- Providing out of hours repairs and breakdown cover as required by front line services
Things to consider
* Must be confident of travel to Middlewich each day. * The jobholder may be required at any time to undertake any work up to and/or at a level consistent with existing responsibilities. These tasks may be at any location in Cheshire East, to ensure the effective deployment of labour, materials, transport, and equipment to meet daily service requirements.
