We are seeking an experienced Construction Skills Trainer/Assessor to support learners and apprentices completing Pipefitting and Construction-related qualifications. The postholder will assess practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours in a workplace environment, ensuring learners develop the competencies required for safe and effective groundworks operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment in pipefitting up to Level 3, both in the workplace and in the classroom.
- Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery.
- Ensure timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- Level 3+ vocational qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Industry relevant pipefitting experience (minimum 2 years).
- Assessor qualification (or commitment to work towards).
- Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements.
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
- Experience of working in further education.
- Up-to-date occupational experience.
This role will be based across multiple sites and therefore a full current driving licence, use of a car and insurance for business purposes are essential to this role.
