The Role: People Partner – Owning the In-House People Experience
As our People Partner, you'll act as the People Manager for our Vendor teams, which consist of Chesamel employees fully integrated across our client base. You’ll own the end-to-end employee experience for this population — from onboarding and deployment through performance, development, succession, ER, and offboarding. You’ll ensure each team member is aligned to the right client project, supported to succeed, and able to grow through a culture of feedback and performance, whilst ensuring they are fully engaged and committed to the Chesamel brand.
You’ll collaborate with Account Managers, Talent, and HR — but the responsibility for workforce performance, engagement, and transformation sits with you. This is a role for someone passionate about shaping the future of work through brilliant team enablement whilst representing Chesamel.
Key Responsibilities
- People Management & Operational Leadership
- Act as People Manager to Chesamel’s in-house delivery consultants embedded across client accounts
- Lead the full employee lifecycle — including onboarding, development, performance reviews, and offboarding
- Ensure everyone understands their role, expectations, and how to thrive within a client environment
- Performance & Succession Ownership
- Drive a high-performance culture across all client-aligned delivery teams
- Lead regular reviews, career conversations, and talent calibration
- Track flight risks, develop succession pipelines, and support retention strategies
- Workforce Transformation & Talent Deployment
- Align people capabilities with client project needs and Chesamel’s workforce transformation strategy
- Anticipate skills gaps and shape future readiness plans
- Ensure timely resourcing and redeployment across accounts to maintain business continuity and client success
- Onboarding, Offboarding & Compliance
- Lead structured onboarding plans for new team members, tailored to each client engagement
- Ensure effective, positive exits with knowledge transfer, insights, and compliant offboarding processes
- Own people-related documentation, contracts, manage ER cases and audit trails
- Performance Targets & Commercial Insight
- Ensure teams are set up to hit delivery targets by monitoring utilisation, performance KPIs, and OKRs
- Support the translation of Commercial goals into team objectives and role clarity
- Collaborate with Finance and Account Managers to support budget alignment and revenue forecasting
- Compensation, Benefits & Engagement
- Support compensation and benefits decisions, benchmarking, and reward strategies in partnership with HR
- Ensure team members feel recognised, supported, and engaged throughout their Chesamel journey
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Be the primary People contact for your delivery population — across HR, Operations, Talent, Finance, and Client Services
- Share people insights and updates with senior leaders, influencing future workforce design
What You’ll Bring
- 5–7 years’ experience in a HR, People Manager, or People Partner role
- Proven experience managing embedded teams, consultants, or field-based delivery talent
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, utilisation, and project resourcing
- Confidence managing end-to-end employee journeys, from onboarding to succession
- Experience working with performance, engagement, and comp & bens cycles
Qualifications
- Degree in HR, Business, or related field
- CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS and performance tools (e.g. HiBob, Hubspot, Google drive)
