We are seeking a Marketing Programme and Events Manager who brings a blend of consumer-tech marketing expertise and policy-facing engagement experience. This role sits at the intersection of B2C marketing strategy and B2B/public policy engagement, requiring someone who can apply consumer marketing rigour (audience insight, segmentation, proposition development, campaign strategy) within a complex stakeholder landscape that includes policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders.
You will lead high-impact marketing programmes and events targeting Key Opinion Formers (KOFs) across the UK, while elevating the strategic quality of campaigns through data-driven insight, audience-first thinking, and global brand experience.
Core Responsibilities:- Strategic Marketing & Campaign Development: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of integrated marketing programmes aligned to both consumer brand principles and policy engagement goals. Apply audience segmentation, insight generation, and proposition development to design effective engagement strategies. Translate global marketing frameworks into locally relevant, insight-led UK campaigns.
- Programme & Event Leadership: Own the delivery of flagship UK tentpole events (e.g., industry awards, conferences, and curated experiences), ensuring strong brand storytelling and audience engagement. Design and deliver high-quality, insight-led engagement formats including roundtables, briefings, and curated stakeholder events. Manage multiple programmes simultaneously, ensuring excellence across timelines, budgets, and execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Develop targeted engagement strategies for Tier 1 and Tier 2 KOFs, including policymakers, regulators, and senior industry leaders. Build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders through well-crafted, insight-driven interactions. Ensure consistent and meaningful engagement across all touchpoints.
- Consumer-Tech Marketing Application: Bring best-in-class B2C/consumer-tech marketing practices into a policy-driven environment. Leverage data, research, and performance insights to continuously optimise campaigns and engagement strategies. Support the development of compelling value propositions that resonate across both consumer and policy audiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Public Policy, Communications, Legal, and Global Marketing teams to ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks and corporate priorities. Act as a bridge between consumer marketing strategy and policy positioning.
- Insights, Measurement & Optimisation: Track campaign performance, stakeholder engagement, and perception shifts among target audiences. Deliver actionable insights and reporting to inform future strategy and continuous improvement.
- Deliver integrated marketing programmes and events with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate measurable impact across engagement quality, brand perception, and stakeholder influence.
- Contribute to positioning the organisation as a leading voice in areas such as online safety and the UK’s digital and creative economy.
- Proven experience in consumer-tech, digital, or B2C marketing, ideally within global brands or platforms.
- Experience applying strategic marketing principles such as audience segmentation, proposition development, and campaign planning.
- Strong programme management and event delivery experience.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex stakeholder environments, including public policy or regulated sectors.
- Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, including policymakers and industry leaders.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data and research to inform decisions.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in technology, media, entertainment, or digital platform businesses.
- Exposure to public affairs, policy, or regulatory environments.
- Background in global organisations or matrixed environments.
- Experience working across both B2C and B2B contexts.
- Familiarity with the UK policy and regulatory landscape (e.g., digital regulation, online safety).
