Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Programme and Events Manager (Senior) who combines strong consumer-tech marketing expertise with experience in policy-facing engagement.
This role sits at the intersection of B2C marketing strategy, stakeholder engagement, and B2B/public policy. The successful candidate will bring a consumer-marketing mindset — including audience insight, segmentation, proposition development, campaign planning, and data-driven decision-making — to a complex stakeholder environment involving policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and other Key Opinion Formers (KOFs).
You will lead high-impact marketing programmes and events across the UK, with a particular focus on engaging Tier 1 and Tier 2 KOFs. You will also play a key role in elevating the strategic quality and effectiveness of campaigns through audience-first thinking, actionable insights, strong programme management, and the application of global brand and marketing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Campaign Development
- Lead the end-to-end development and execution of integrated marketing programmes aligned with both consumer brand principles and public policy engagement objectives.
- Apply audience segmentation, consumer insight, and research to develop targeted and effective engagement strategies.
- Translate global marketing frameworks, strategies, and best practices into locally relevant UK campaigns.
- Develop compelling propositions and campaign strategies that resonate with priority audiences and stakeholders.
- Own the planning and delivery of flagship UK events and programmes, including industry awards, conferences, roundtables, briefings, and other high-impact engagement initiatives.
- Design and deliver high-quality engagement formats tailored to specific stakeholder audiences.
- Manage multiple programmes and events simultaneously, ensuring high standards of execution, stakeholder experience, and delivery.
- Oversee programme timelines, budgets, partners, and key deliverables as required.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Develop targeted engagement strategies for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Key Opinion Formers, including policymakers, regulators, and senior industry leaders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, establishing credibility, trust, and long-term engagement.
- Use audience insights to understand stakeholder needs, interests, and perceptions, and translate these into effective engagement strategies.
- Bring best-in-class B2C and consumer-tech marketing practices into a policy-driven and stakeholder-focused environment.
- Apply data, research, audience insights, and marketing principles to develop and optimise programmes.
- Introduce a strong audience-first approach to campaign development and stakeholder engagement.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Public Policy, Communications, Legal, Global Marketing, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment across programmes.
- Ensure marketing and engagement activities are consistent with regulatory frameworks, corporate priorities, and global brand standards.
- Collaborate effectively across functions and geographies to deliver integrated, high-impact programmes.
- Establish and monitor relevant measures of campaign and programme effectiveness.
- Track campaign performance, stakeholder engagement, audience response, and shifts in perception.
- Translate data and research into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Continuously optimise programmes and campaigns based on performance data, audience feedback, and emerging trends.
Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience in consumer-tech, digital, B2C marketing, or a related field, ideally within a global brand, technology company, or major platform.
- Demonstrated experience applying strategic marketing principles, including:
- Audience segmentation and targeting
- Audience insight and research
- Campaign strategy and planning
- Data-driven marketing and optimisation
- Strong programme management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact programmes.
- Significant experience in event planning and delivery, including senior-level stakeholder events, conferences, roundtables, briefings, or industry events.
- Experience working with or engaging policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, or other senior external stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of consumer-tech marketing principles and the ability to apply them within a B2B, public policy, or stakeholder engagement environment.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to turn data and insights into clear actions.
