The Team: Chesamel has a large team of marketing experts delivering on client projects across the globe, ranging from fully integrated and embedded consultancy to ad-hoc on demand project delivery. You will be joining a collective focused on delivering excellent client servicing while leading business transformation for our clients.

About the role: The person will play a strategic role in supporting regional and local marketing teams across EMEA, ensuring operational excellence and enabling the successful delivery of marketing priorities across multiple markets. They will lead the operationalisation of marketing plans, helping teams execute high-impact campaigns efficiently while maintaining alignment with broader business objectives. This role will be instrumental in shaping and evolving the team’s operational framework, driving scalable processes, improving ways of working, and embedding best practice across the function.

The person will oversee quarterly planning cycles, manage complex budget operations, and act as the primary liaison with Finance to ensure effective governance, forecasting, and resource allocation. Working closely with global stakeholders across Strategy & Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, the person will influence cross-functional alignment and help streamline operational processes at both regional and global levels. They will be expected to bring strong commercial judgement, analytical rigour, and the ability to navigate ambiguity within a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with operational execution, demonstrating strong leadership capability, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a data-driven, hypothesis-led approach to problem-solving.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the adaptation and optimisation of global operational structures and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and agility across the EMEA marketing organisation.
  • Drive quarterly activity and resource planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities and market needs.
  • Oversee and track team resources, budgets, and operational requests, ensuring effective prioritisation and allocation across multiple workstreams.
  • Partner closely with Finance to manage complex marketing budgets across multiple strategies and markets, ensuring strong financial governance, forecasting accuracy, and efficient spend management.
  • Develop and implement tools, frameworks, and reporting processes that improve data accessibility, operational visibility, and decision-making capability.
  • Create scalable playbooks, training programmes, and operational guidance to elevate team capability and consistency across the region.
  • Act as a senior operational representative for the clients Marketing EMEA within cross-functional and global forums, influencing decision-making and advocating for regional priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Strategy & Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing teams to drive alignment and operational excellence.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and proactively implement process improvements to support long-term organisational effectiveness.
  • Support senior leadership with strategic planning, business operations, and performance analysis where required.

  • Strong communication & organisation skills such as writing & delivering briefs, collateral, shaping narrative at events etc.
  • Be a self starter - able to work and problem solve independently.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience within Marketing consulting, Marketing project management, finance marketing operations, or a related strategic operations environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities within a fast-paced, high-growth organisation.
  • Strong strategic and operational acumen, with the ability to translate business objectives into scalable operational plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience using data to drive operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within ambiguous and evolving environments.
