You will be embedded in a team dedicated to helping businesses ranging from enterprises to startups, educational institutions and government agencies to see the benefits of our technology come to life.
The Role/Responsibilities:
- Lead point person for event day requests and managing changes in agenda
- Assist with reporting and optimising event operations based on user feedback
- Be the marketing POC on site for the attendees
- Booking event spaces
- Organising catering
- Ensuring the flow of attendees throughout the day
- Understand and execute programming and events strategy shared by the Google Cloud teams in the U.S. and locally in the UK
- Coordinate event logistics for the event day itself in advance
- Main point of contact for Host/Partners and Event Organiser on site during event day
- Lead the project management of working with vendors (e.g., catering, production, etc.), security, AV, and other onsite teams
- Main point of escalation for Hosts during the event
- Design user access check-in experience including new user onboarding process, badging system, user data management and analysis
- Leverage on-the-ground insights from event logistics and success metrics to share lessons learned with the Google Cloud team in the U.S on an ongoing basis
- Assist with the coordination of contracts, budget, POs and invoices
- Coordinate all requests from Stakeholders, startups, and partner organisations
- Be the main point of contact for the event hosts
- First point of contact for all guests of the space
- Daily Operations oversight for public spaces from 9am - 9pm daily
- Owns overall GEMS Management, specifically all tickets and requests related to Cloud spaces
- Management of space utilisation and owns overall calendar coordination and scheduling
- Management of Cloud Swag inventory
- Office/Space Management: Ensure space is up to standards & all is working
- Meetings logistics: Assist with basic logistics for Room Only bookings
- Primary owner for all catering requests
Qualifications required:
- BA/BS level or equivalent in similar field
- 12 months experience in Events Management/Event Marketing
