Are you ready to lead transformational development and drive economic growth across Cherwell? We’re looking for an experienced, visionary & dynamic Head of Regeneration and Growth to shape the future of our communities.
This is a strategic leadership position, responsible for delivering regeneration and growth initiatives across Banbury, Bicester, and Kidlington. You will lead major programmes such as the Bicester Garden Town, Kidlington Growth area & Banbury Town Centre regeneration, oversee infrastructure projects with Oxfordshire County Council (Energy, Rail & Roads), and manage a talented economic development team. Your work will create vibrant, sustainable communities and attract investment to the district.
We need someone with experience, drive and commitment to lead and manage the service developing the programme with Homes England & the Oxfordshire Growth Commission. You will have experience of working in and managing services relating to regeneration, growth and development with a focus on project delivery and managing complex planning and development schemes. You will have proven experience of building networks and partnerships with the public and private sector both locally and nationally, and with key stakeholders, businesses, and residents. You will actively contribute, deliver and monitor the vision, strategic direction and core values of the council and provide a clear sense of direction, optimism, and purpose. You will have a track record of delivering right first time projects and organisational change in complex environments.
