About Our Nursery: Cherubs Longdale is a modern, rural 90‑place nursery in Ravenshead, Nottingham. Being a car driver is essential to be part of this established and long‑serving team. Set in just under an acre of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, with some bus links.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Maintain hygienic play and learning spaces that meet early years health and safety standards.
  • Support with mealtimes to create positive, calm, and enjoyable dining experiences.
  • Assist with the cleaning and sterilising of toys, furniture, and learning materials.
  • Help prepare the nursery environment for daily activities, sleep‑times, meal‑times, and events.
  • Manage deliveries efficiently - checking contents, organising distribution, and ensuring safe, accessible, and organised storage areas.
  • Keep stock levels well‑maintained and anticipate needs before shortages occur.
  • Respond promptly to unexpected cleaning or organisational challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the nursery’s operation.
  • Follow all COSHH and Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice at all times.
  • Attend all training and professional development to improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods, including lunch service, laundry, and event preparation.
  • Cover breaks for other team members when required, asking for a thorough handover.
  • Assist with chef duties.

As part of this role, you will be required to attend 3 paid Saturday Training Days every year (January, May and September) along with an annual fundraising event for your nursery that also takes place on a Saturday.
