About Our Nursery

Cherubs South Normanton is a 55-place nursery tucked away in a quiet Derbyshire village. It has a large, open outdoor environment overlooking Matlock and the Peak District and is well-placed with good bus and road links.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
  • Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
  • Be a role model for the children at all times.
  • Work towards your qualification in childcare, ensuring all targets are met and you are always up to date with any assigned coursework.
  • Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children’s interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
  • Establish and maintain friendly but professional relationships with all parents, staff and suppliers.
  • Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings, summer fairs and training - some of these may be out of working hours and on weekends.
