Chertsey School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate New Zealand registered teacher to join our team in a 0.8 fixed-term position commencing 28 January 2027.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds current New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
  • Is an experienced classroom practitioner.
  • Is confident and effective teaching in a multi-year level classroom.
  • Builds strong, positive relationships with students, whānau and colleagues.
  • Delivers engaging, high-quality teaching and learning programmes.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and is confident meeting the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Has high expectations for student achievement and a commitment to evidence-informed teaching practice.
  • Is collaborative, reflective and committed to ongoing professional growth.
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, camps, sports, cultural opportunities and school events.
  • Will make a positive contribution to our close-knit school community.
