Cherryâs Early Learning Centre, a Green Gold Enviroschool, is seeking a passionate and dedicated kaiako to join our older childrenâs area (ages 2-5). This is a great opportunity to work alongside a team of highly skilled and qualified teachers in a nurturing and collaborative environment.
About the role:
- Part-time, permanent position (4 days, Tuesday to Friday, approximately 27 hours per week). Possible relieving on fifth day if desired.
- Inspire, educate, and care for our tamariki while fostering a love of learning.
- Teach in a natural play garden setting that encourages free play and exploration.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and whÄnau to provide high-quality education and care.
What weâre looking for:
- A deep understanding of child development and learning, with strong knowledge of Te WhÄriki.
- Experience in internal evaluation, inquiry learning, intentional teaching, and individual learning programs.
- Strength in documenting childrenâs learning, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with Storypark and Professional Growth Cycles is an advantage.
- A commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
- A warm and responsive approach, building strong relationships with tamariki, whÄnau, and colleagues.
