Cherrybrook Care Home is a large, purpose designed service in Bradford, providing specialist care across two units for 120 residents with complex mental health needs, dementia and challenging behaviours. The home delivers high quality, clinically led care within a structured and supportive environment, combining specialist nursing expertise with a strong focus on dignity, stability and person centred support.

Contract £13.21 – £13.71 per hour, depending on experience and medication training

Contracted up to 42 hours per week

Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality, person centred care for individuals with complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered safely within a structured and supportive environment.

Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes, including behaviours or complex needs. Working closely with the wider team, you will support and guide Care Assistants, helping to maintain a calm, stable and consistent environment. You will follow and review care plans, ensure accurate record keeping and contribute to effective communication with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.

This role requires a confident, calm and resilient approach, with the ability to support both residents and staff in a complex care setting.
