Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home


Goldcrest Lodge, Passfield Common, Liphook, GU30 7RL | £42,000-£47,000 | 40 hours | Permanent

Cherry Trees seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead Goldcrest Lodge. You'll have full autonomy to build a nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported to reach their potential.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide values-led leadership, keeping children's needs at the heart of everything.

  • Lead, motivate and develop your care team
  • Ensure children receive safe, individualised care
  • Champion children's voices, rights and feelings
  • Lead safeguarding practice and manage concerns appropriately
  • Implement and review care plans, health plans and risk assessments
  • Build strong relationships with families, social workers and agencies
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations
  • Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, supervision and development
  • Oversee the home's budget and operational resources

About you

We need a confident, compassionate leader who combines excellent childcare practice with strong management skills.

  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
  • Minimum 1 year managing care staff
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
  • Experience leading residential childcare teams
  • Background in care planning, risk management and quality assurance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence making decisions and challenging practice when needed
  • Genuine commitment to children's rights and positive outcomes
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve within regulatory timescale
