Are you experienced in tooling, precision engineering, inspection or workshop-based manufacturing environments?
We're looking for a Tooling Technician to join a specialist engineering team supporting the preparation, assembly and inspection of tooling used within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for somebody who takes pride in accuracy, quality and following established engineering processes.
You'll work with precision tooling, measuring equipment and technical instructions, helping ensure tooling is prepared and verified to the highest standards before entering production.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare tooling for production use
- Work from engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
- Identify tooling wear, defects or non-conformances
- Complete traceability and quality documentation
- Maintain tooling to required standards
- Support a right-first-time quality culture
