Finance Manager – Sole Charge Role | Hybrid (Nottingham) £50-55,000 + Bens Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 2 days from home) Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours, Mon–Fri, flexible start/finish) Are you a hands-on, ambitious Finance Manager who thrives in an environment where you can truly make your mark? We are working exclusively with an Innovative company based in Nottingham to find their new finance lead, where you’ll have full ownership of the finance function and the freedom to shape processes, systems, and strategy from the ground up. The Role: As the sole finance professional in the business, you’ll take the lead on all day-to-day and strategic finance activities — from managing the numbers to designing robust financial processes that will underpin the company’s continued growth. You’ll be responsible for: Setting up and developing finance policies, procedures, and systems. Overseeing all financial operations – including management accounts, budgeting, cash flow, VAT, and payroll. Preparing monthly management reports, board packs, and shareholder updates. Producing and reconciling P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts. Managing inter-company transactions, accruals, and prepayments. Supporting the business with financial planning, control, and compliance. Acting as a trusted partner to the leadership team, providing insight to guide decision-making.About You: We’re looking for a self-motivated, capable “all-rounder” who’s comfortable taking ownership of the full finance life cycle — someone who can move seamlessly between the detail and the bigger picture.
