We’re recruiting a Finance Business Partner to support a key manufacturing site in Derby, playing a pivotal role in driving financial insight, control, and decision-making across the business.
This is a hands-on, value-adding role where you’ll work closely with site leadership, providing clear financial guidance, challenging assumptions, and helping translate numbers into actionable outcomes. Whether you’re fully qualified or qualified by experience, if you bring strong manufacturing finance knowledge and a collaborative mindset, this role offers genuine impact and visibility.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with site leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and overhead control, delivering meaningful variance analysis and insight.
- Monitor and evaluate cost performance, identifying risks and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Support CAPEX planning and investment appraisals.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor, balancing financial rigour with commercial pragmatism.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
- Strong background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting.
- Proven experience in a business partnering or site-based finance role.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, analytical and solution-focused approach.
- Competitive salary of £55,000 – £60,000.
