About the Role
Management Accountant – Interim Contract with potential of permanent. £40,000–£50,000 DOE. Nottingham based Hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts for key projects, with insightful analysis and performance commentary.
- Deliver accurate, timely financial data to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
- Partner with Project Managers to provide financial guidance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead on cash flow forecasting, credit control routines, and balance sheet reconciliations (WIP, accruals, deferred income).
- Drive process improvements and enhance the quality of financial reporting.
- Support audit prep, group reporting, and ad hoc projects for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
Required Skills
- Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with large datasets.
- Experience in management accounting, project accounting, financial analysis, and working capital optimisation.
- A continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Bonus points for experience in project accounting or long-term contracts.
