My client operates in the Ecom space; however, they are more than an eCommerce business—they’re a global growth partner for brands seeking to scale internationally. Their tech-enabled platform removes the complexity of cross-border selling, giving brands seamless access to 120 marketplaces across 35 countries, including the US. Partnering with 400 blue-chip brands, leveraging proprietary technology to list thousands of SKUs within hours, supported by AI-driven translation and compliance tools, my client operates in the UK and Bangalore with fulfilment centres in Leicester and Poland.

The Role
Wanted is a hands-on Financial Controller to lead our finance function and ensure robust financial control as we scale. You’ll own the numbers, manage the accounts and tax operations, and deliver accurate reporting to the Board. This is a pivotal role in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to influence at senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end processes and prepare management accounts.
- Present financial results to the Board and address queries confidently.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Ensure tax compliance in the UK and internationally.
- Lead year-end statutory accounts and audits.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency within the finance function.
- Manage an overseas accounts team (7 staff including a Management Accountant).
Skills & Qualifications
- ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified preferred; however, by experience strongly considered along with almost qualified if the experience is there.
- Strong Excel skills and deep knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proven ability to lead teams and work independently.
- Hands-on approach with attention to detail.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment; ideally managing overseas teams.
