Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced and pragmatic Engineering Project Manager to join a well established team and take ownership of exciting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. What you'll be doing:
- Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost control
- Creating and maintaining project plans, financial forecasts, and risk logs
- Collaborating with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to drive project success
- Handling project variations, resource allocation, and reporting to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in engineering project management, preferably in automation or control panel build
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and certifications in Prince2, APM PMQ, or APM Agile
- Willingness to travel (approx. 15%) for client meetings, installations, and commissioning

- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with customer expectations
- Develop and maintain project plans, forecasts, and actual cost tracking
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining a risk management log
- Manage project variations, maintaining a change log and collaborating with Sales on cost impacts
- Provide regular reports to senior management and contribute to portfolio reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design, build, test, and installation meet specifications
- Assign and manage work allocation while resolving resource constraints
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project-related matters
- Review and approve customer proposals, ensuring feasibility in terms of cost, time, and resources
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices in project management
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Assess risks, implement safe work methods, and ensure competency in tasks
- Ensure that project activities do not compromise the safety of staff, contractors, passengers, or the public
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring compliance with safety policies
- Participate in company safety briefings and ensure team engagement in safety practices
