Paramedic in Elgin

We are seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing advanced life support and emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments to identify injuries or illnesses.
• Administering medications and injections following protocols.
• Performing venipuncture for blood draws and IV access.
• Safely operating emergency vehicles during responses.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals during critical care transport.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and equipment.
• Participating in ongoing training to stay current with emergency medicine best practices.

Qualifications And Skills Include

• Valid Paramedic certification and state licensure.
• Experience with injections and venipuncture.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, patient assessment, and critical care protocols.
• Familiarity with medical equipment used in patient transport.
• Ability to safely drive emergency vehicles under various conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to compassionate patient care.
