Dialysis Nurse Manager Job Responsibilities:
- The Dialysis Nurse Manager oversees daily operations of the dialysis unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care in compliance with nursing standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
- This role ensures patient confidentiality, staff compliance, and the development and maintenance of unit policies, reports, budgets, and contracts.
- Provides strong leadership by upholding professional standards, supporting staff development, promoting patient rights, and fostering positive relationships with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Serves as a role model for nursing practice and participates in community education.
- Requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; the ability to prepare reports and interpret instructions; and thorough knowledge of state and federal confidentiality laws, including HIPAA.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Stands or walks most of the day (up to 10 hours); sits up to 3 hours.
- Frequently bends and reaches, including above shoulder level.
- Occasionally kneels and works with arms overhead.
- Uses hands for repetitive tasks and fine motor work.
- Lifts up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Requires strong vision and hand-eye coordination.
- Works in an outpatient healthcare setting.

Requirements:
- Must be a full-time, direct (not contract) employee of the facility.
- Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska.
- Minimum of one year current experience in clinical nursing, Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
- Leadership experience and ability.
