We are looking for a skilled Project Engineering Manager to join our team at the Fermi Nuclear Power Plant in Newport, MI. This role involves serving as a key liaison between the client and a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the successful execution of modification packages at the plant. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary field representative, managing engineering activities and guiding a team of engineers and designers.
- Enforce company and project policies, planning and overseeing work to meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals.
- Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and monitor daily activities to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Prepare and deliver status reports and presentations to clients and management.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with coursework in energy conversion and power systems.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license in any U.S. state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
- Experience working in a U.S.-based nuclear power plant.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on power systems.
- Field experience, including walk-downs on power projects.
- A background in electrical or instrumentation and controls engineering.
- Experience preparing engineering design modification packages for nuclear power plants, including familiarity with the Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $145,000 - $165,000 per year.
