Overview
CNFC is seeking a qualified Facilities Project Coordinator to perform on-site project services at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth (NMCP). This position supports the facility manager with daily essential duties and responsibilities within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) environment. The role provides technical management support functions at NMCP in support of this contract. Candidates should be well-rounded, effective communicators able to work independently and meet aggressive deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Facilities Project Coordinator: $120,000 - $135,000 DOE. Pay commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities Include
- Advise the Facilities Manager of all issues that require action or the action of senior leaders
- Review documentation to ensure that it is complete and usable for the maintenance and operations of the facility once the project is turned over to the Command
- Coordinate with facility infection control officers to ensure compliance
- Coordinate with facility safety officers to implement effective safety policies
- Provide timely coordination with clinic staff to ensure proper reviews and notification of projects and utility outages
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including Facilities, DPW, DHA, and project-related Corps of Engineers staff
- Participate in final on-site inspections of completed work and report findings to the COR and/or stakeholders
- Coordinate design and submittal reviews and analyses and respond to contractor requests for information
- Monitor construction contractor quality control activities and make appropriate recommendations to the COR for Government action
- Maintain records of construction documentation such as financial cost accounting, meetings, drawings, submittals, applications for payments, change orders, proposals, purchase orders, communications, transmittals, notes, etc.
- Attend pre-construction, staff, in-progress reviews, and other project-related meetings, and provide reports to stakeholders
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including Facilities, Logistics, Med Maintenance, the construction contractor, Regional Facilities Staff, NAVFAC PM staff, and project-related Corps of Engineers staff
- Maintain progress photos of the project
- Review schedules, work performance quality, safety oversight, and coordination effectiveness; perform documentation reviews for COR for all repair and construction work in progress or planned
- Ensure conformance with NFPA codes, Unified Facilities Criteria, Joint Commission standards, safety standards, and other agency criteria
- Prepare reports and perform special projects as required by the contract
- Complete required Army training as required by the site
Experience, Education, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture and/or Engineering preferred and/or 10+ years of related professional experience; a degree may be substituted by experience
- Experience performing Quality Assurance duties in a construction environment
- Candidates must be US Citizens
- Candidates selected will be subject to a U.S. Government federal background security investigation and must pass a drug screen
- Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Working knowledge of the medical design criteria, the Uniform Facility Criteria (UFCs) and Federal Building Code requirements
- Able to work in a dynamic environment
