Cheriva Group is recruiting for an established, independent accountancy practice based in South West London, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit, accounting, and advisory services. The firm operates with a close-knit team structure while serving a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses to mid-sized entities across multiple sectors.

We are seeking a fully qualified Audit Senior to join our client's growing audit team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced auditor who is confident leading assignments, managing junior staff, and delivering technically strong audit work. This is not a portfolio management role at this stage, but offers clear progression for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Prepare and review audit files in line with UK auditing standards
  • Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior team members
  • Liaise with clients on-site and remotely, building strong working relationships
  • Identify and resolve technical audit and accounting issues
  • Assist managers and partners with the delivery of assignments
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are met across engagements
  • Support continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA fully qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong audit experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Proven experience leading audits and supervising staff
  • Technically strong with a solid understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments
