We are now recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Service Centre in Birmingham on our Night shift pattern.
What’s the job duties?
- To proactively work as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets. Actively complete root cause analysis, returning the equipment in a safe and timely manner, driving efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements.
- Complete maintenance using a multi skilled approach. Perform proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring that health and safety procedures are always followed. Continually seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to the maintenance of equipment.
- Support site Reliability agenda: Identification of failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis processes and drive the agreed actions. Provide support to site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriate.
- Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific or dynamic risk assessments. Report all maintenance tasks on CMMS system as required and to the correct standard. Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
- Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
What Qualifications/Skills are we looking for?
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mech/Electrical/Multi Skilled Engineering Qualification. Evidence of cross skilling is required if your qualification is of a mechanical specialism.
Desirable:
- 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- PAT Testing
- PLC qualifications

- IOSH
- Machine Safety (PILZ)
