The FLTs we use at CHEP are 4.5 Ton triple fork vehicles. It would be beneficial if you have experience working on double or triple fork FLTs. It would be advantageous if you had an external FLT License (RTITB or ITSSAR), however we can accept in-house licenses with a view of obtaining an external license on the offer of a role at CHEP. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have worked in a busy yard environment, loading and unloading HGVs and moving stacks of pallets. Position Purpose: * Operates forklift safely to run production operations and service hauliers * Able to work consistently to quality standards in a fast-paced production environment * Key contact for all hauliers on site Measures: * Safety * Quality * Compliance to Operating Standards (RTITB) * Haulier turnaround time Major/Key Accountabilities * Safely and efficiently direct visiting vehicles whilst loading and offloading goods. * Maintaining activity flow of the Production Lines and kept within Service Level Agreements. * Assist in the manual inspection and repair of equipment stocks in yards. * Ensure trucks and equipment are well maintained and report operational problems including damage to truck or other property. * Carefully handle and store the company\’s hire stock and raw materials while following require stock rotations.
