About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join CHEP – the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll be working with 4.5-ton triple fork vehicles in a busy yard environment, loading/unloading HGVs and moving pallet stacks.

What you’ll do

  • Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations
  • Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading
  • Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs
  • Assist with manual inspection & repair of equipment in the yard
  • Report any damage or operational issues promptly
  • Handle and rotate stock safely and efficiently

What we need from you

  • Experience as a Counterbalance FLT Driver (busy yard/HGV loading preferred)
  • External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) is ideal – in-house licences considered
  • Experience with double/triple fork FLTs = big advantage
  • Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
