Position: Counterbalance FLT Driver – South Ockendon (RM15)
Location: South Ockendon, RM15 (commutable from Rainham, Dagenham, Grays, Purfleet, Hornchurch, Romford & surrounding areas).
Shifts: Nights, Mon-Fri (10pm-6am).
Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
Salary: £27,710 + 33% shift allowance = £36,854.30 per year.
Overview

You will be at the frontline in a busy, demanding role, learning new ways of working with automation and technology while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate counterbalance FLTs to support production operations and service hauliers.
- Direct visiting vehicles and manage loading and offloading of goods while maintaining production flow within Service Level Agreements.
- Assist in manual inspection and repair of equipment stocks in yards.
- Ensure trucks and equipment are well maintained; report operational problems including damage to trucks or other property.
- Carefully handle and store hire stock and raw materials, following required stock rotations.
- Work towards quality, safety and compliance with RTITB standards; adhere to operating standards and contribute to efficient haulier turnaround times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience operating FLTs; preferred experience with 4.5 ton, triple fork vehicles. Double or triple fork experience is advantageous.
- External FLT license (RTITB or ITSSAR) preferred; in-house licenses considered with plan to obtain external certification on offer of role.
- Experience in a busy yard environment, loading/unloading HGVs, and moving stacks of pallets is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and maintain quality standards.
